Chris Evers passed away Monday evening af 9:45 o'clock at his home, 1721 West Eighth street. His death terminated a lingering illness. The deceased was born Sept. 24,1853 in Germany, and there married Margaret Ross in 1880. He came to the United States in 1881 direct to Davenport, and has been,a resident here since. Surviving are three daughters. Mrs. John Mats, Mrs. George Schmidt, and Mrs.. George Sonne, all of Davenport,and one son, John Evers of Chicago.
The body was taken to the Runge mortuary pending funeral arrangements.The body was removed to the Runge mortuary, and the funeral will be held from the Runge chapel
Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock,interment will take place in Fairmount cemeterv.
