Alex Richard dies:
A Former Resident of Meredith Community
Alex Richard of Los Angeles, Calif., former Cloud Countian, died this morning while visiting his daughter, Mrs. Bernard Conlee at Whitinsville, Mass. He was 88.
Mr. Richard was born in Meredith Township the son of pioneer Cloud County settlers, Henry and Carolyn Richard. He grew to manhood in that community and was married to Mary McLean, who died several years ago.
Mr. Richard is survived by five daughters; Mrs. Bernard Conlee, Whitinsville, Mass.; Mrs. Omer Terrier, Upland, Calif.; Mrs. Duane Wilkins, Lakewood, Calif.; Mrs. John LaMar, Tracy, Calif.; and Mrs. Ralph LaMar, Mount Shasta, Calif.; two sisters; Mrs. Ed Kline, Blue Rapids and Mrs. Alfred Brinsenkofer, Oketo.
Mr. Richard was a brother-in-law of James McLean and Mark McLean of Concordia.
Funeral Services and burial will be held in Los Angeles, Calif.

Ontario – Alexander Richard, a former Ontario resident, died Thursday in Whitinsville, Mass., where he was visiting relatives. He was 87.
A retired farmer born in Concordia, Kan., Mr. Richard lived in Ontario for eight years.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Bernard Conlee of Whitinsville, Mrs. Edna Tellier of Upland, Mrs. Duane Wilkens of Lakewood, Mrs. John LaMar of Tracy, and Mrs. Ralph LaMar of Mt. Shasta; two sisters, Mrs. Ed Clein of Blue Rapids, Kan., and Mrs. Albert Brenzikofer of Olathe, Kan., 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are pending at The Draper Mortuary.
