Deceased Name: Estella Theresa LaMar
A remembrance celebration for Estella Theresa LaMar, 94, a Carson City resident for the past five years, will be at the family home from 3-5 p.m. Thursday.
Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Thursday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Mrs. LaMar died May 28, 2001, at her home. She was born Aug. 27, 1906, in Cloud County, Kan., to Alex and Mary McLean Richard.
Mrs. LaMar was a homemaker and a caregiver. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Manteca, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her husband John LaMar and three sons John (Jack), William (Bill) and Clinton.
Among her survivors are her daughter Donna Kunkle of Carson City; sister Jessie Wilkins of Covina, Calif.; daughter-in-law Barbara LaMar of Manteca, Calif.; grandchildren Joseph and Walter Kunkle and Stella Hyatt of Carson City, Thomas and David Kunkle of Dayton; Steven and C.J. LaMar and Jeanette Nelson of Manteca, Calif.; Diane Givens of Delhi, Calif., Bobby LaMar of Wasilla, Alaska, and Barbara Patton and Karen Madrid of Stockton, Calif.; 26 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery in Stockton, Calif. Walton's Chapel of the Valley, is in charge of arrangements.
