Dilver B. Curlin, 74, 500 E. Seminary, Vevay, Ind., and formerly of Tapp's Ridge, Ind., died at 9:45 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 1994, at his residence.

Born July 1, 1919, in Carroll County, Ky., he was the son of Ernest and Lydia R. (Washburn) Curlin. He married Helen Marie Webber Dec. 13, 1947, and she survives.

He was a member of the Center Square Church of Christ and the Vevay Sons of the American Legion. He was a retired employee of Gulf Plastics of Greensburg as a set-up man, and he also worked for Aurora Lumber Co., and 12 years at Stedman's Foundry. He was also a retired farmer.

Survivors, in addition to his widow, include: one stepson, Melvin Sallee of Cape Coral, Fla.; three brothers: Russell Curlin, Lawrenceburg, Ind., and Paul and Bobby Curlin, both of Vevay; four sisters: Laura Jean Kennedy, Salem, Ore., Ernestine Lakes of Sunman, Ind., Frances Houze of Aurora, Ind. and Ann Crowe, of Bethel, Ohio; five step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Lena Bell (Jump) Curlin; one daughter, Patricia Kay Curlin; six brothers, Blanton, Courtland, James, Charles, Wilbur and J.T. Curlin; and one sister, Daisy Adeline Curlin.

The Rev. Ronald Sandidge will conduct the services at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Haskell and Morrison Funeral Home, Vevay.

Burial will be in the Fredonia Cemetery, Tapp's Ridge.

Calling will be at the funeral home Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 8 a.m. until time of the service.

Memorial contributions may go to the Switzerland County Chapter of Hospice.
