Irene Adamson Forrester
April 15, 1921 - March 19, 1941

Irene Forrester died March 19th, 2014 at Bell Minor Nursing Home in Gainesville, GA.
She was the daughter of Thomas and Marcenia Adamson, of Banks County, GA.

She was preceded in death by her seven siblings, Hugh Adamson, infant, Dorothy Wilson of Gastonia, NC, Clara Brewer of Homer, GA. Ernst Adamson of Lula, GA, Lauten Adamson of Bel View, FL, Jesse Adamson of Lula, GA, and her twin sister, Maxine Calhoun of Gastonia, NC. She is also preceded in death by her grandson, Kenneth Young Forrester.

Mrs. Forrester lived most of her life in Banks County, GA and metro Atlanta and Gastonia, NC.
She was raised at Mount Caramel Baptist Church and later in life was a member of Christian Independent Assemblies Church in Doraville, GA.

She is survived by her son, Swayne Gary Forrester, and his wife Penni Tankersley Forrester and their son Gregory Forrester of Banks County, GA. She is also survived by her daughter, Agatha Forrester Ables, and her husband Thomas Andrew Ables of Gainesville, GA and their son Forrest Thomas Ables of Flowery Branch, GA.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday March 22nd, 2014 from 6 PM until 8 PM.

Services will be held at the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home on Sunday March 23rd, 2014 at 2 PM with Rev. James Dumas officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Banks County Memorial Gardens.
