Mr. Barrett was born at Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada, and moved to Alberta in 1908. He came to the Yakima Valley in 1923.
Mr. Barrett had operated ranches in the Harwood and Selah areas for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hazel M. Barrett; three daughters, Mrs. Viola Boyd, Seattle, Mrs. Mary Brooks, San Diego, and Mrs. Effie Bruton, Ellensburg; two sons, Lorne Barrett, Goldendale and Vernon Barrett, LaPine, Ore.; two brothers, Rupert Barrett, Truro, Nova Scotia and Herbert Barrett, St. Catherines, Ont.; 21 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren."
