Born April 25, 1915 in Marshall county, Mr Henze was the son of Albert and Mary Eckhart Henze. Educated in the local schools, he married Kathryn Basiger in Des Moines July 28, 1936. The couple had farmed near State Center until retiring to town in 1967.
Surviving are the widow; a son, Ronald, of State Center; a daughter, Annabelle (Mrs Millard) Winters of Stratford, and six grandchildren.
Also surviving are seven sisters, Mrs Alma Rittierodt, Clara (Mrs L C) Buck and Ida (Mrs Alvin) Gerke, all of State Center; Irene (Mrs Lloyd) Eggers of Marshalltown; Mrs Hilda Bernard of New Providence; Mildred (Mrs Glen) Norell of Denver, Colorado and Violet (Mrs Ted) Wengert of Rockford, Illinois.
Mr Henze was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
