CHURCHWARD - At Maryborough onDecember 7, 1930, Abraham Churchward. Aged 90 years.

OBITUARY
Another link in the chain of old identities of Maryborough was broken last night in the passing of Mr Abraham Churchward. The deceased, who was born in Devonshire, England, came to Maryborough fifty-one years ago and had resided here since his arrival. He was a very active man and as recently as five years ago he paid a visit to his native town in Devonshire. Although in failing health for some time, it was only during the last few weeks that he became seriously ill. His wife predeceased him seven years ago. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs Crane, Mrs Barton and Mrs Ammenhauser, all of Maryborough, and four sons, Fred (Urangan), William (Bundaberg), Albert (Biggenden), and Charles (Nikenbah). There are also a large number of grand-children and great grandchildren. The deceased was well known in the Oddfellows' Lodges and although he resided here over fifty years, he remained a member of that order in England. The funeral will move from St Paul's Church today at 2 o'clock.
