Services were held Sunday Dec. 2, 1984, in the Gaskins Funeral Home for Cecil Rice, 87, of 403 S. Cherry St., Harrisburg. Burial was in Sunset Gardens in Harrisburg.
Mr. Rice died Thursday, Nov. 29, 1984, in the Harrisburg Medical Center. He was a retired carpenter and a member of the Carpenter's Union Local in Harrisburg.
He was born Oct. 14, 1897, in Saline County to J. A. and Viola Rice.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Louise Harless, of Harrisburg; one sister, Madge Hibbs of Harrisburg and one brother, William Rice of Mount Vernon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
