LARUE-Services for Anna Ruth Boykin, 81, LaRue are scheduled for 2:00 P M Tuesday at New York Baptist Church with Rev. Donald Thomas officiating.
Burial will follow in Myrtle Springs Cemetery.
Mrs. Boykin died March 22, 2014 in Athens.
Anna Ruth was born June 5, 1932 in Coal Hill, Arkansas to the late George Taylor and Satara Carlton Bray. She resided in Pasadena from 1954 until 1958 then moving to Channelview. She and her late husband moved to LaRue in 1983 and became active members of New York Baptist Church. Anna Ruth and John were passionate about gardening especially raising vegetables and sharing the harvest with friends and neighbors. On numerous occasions they earned recognition for the largest tomatoes produced in the county.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son Doyce Wayne Boykin; brothers Namon Bray, Bill Bray, Jerry Bray; sisters Georgia Needham, Barbara Sebren and Martha Mayo.
Survivors include sons Bobby Boykin and wife Kathie, Malakoff, Richard Boykin and wife Floyce, Pine Bluff, Arkansas; sister Theresa Zieminick, Taylorsville, Georgia; grandchildren Candance Boykin, Brandie Boykin, Debbie Jonio, David Boykin, Jesse Scott, Jeremy Scott; great grandchildren Ashley Jonio, Balegh Boykin, Hunter Boykin, Matt Boykin, Keyan Boykin, Kylie Wilson, Violet Wilson, Colbie Madison, Colt Boykin, Olivia Boykin.
Pallbearers will be Randy Sebren, Damon Sebren, Greg Zieminick, Jesse Scott, Jeremy Scott, Gary Ford.
Honorary pallbearers will be Alton Gracie and Carl Richardson.
Visitation for family and friends will be one hour prior to service time.
