She was born August 24, 1915, (98 years old) in Monaca, Pennsylvania.
She lived in Monaca until age 89 when she moved to East Troy, Wisconsin, to be near her family.
Mary lived an independent and active life. She was preceded in death by her husband, William George, brothers, Steve Leitschaft (Marion), John Leitschaft (Elsie), and nephew, Steve Leitschaft, and longtime friend Joe Kroen.
She is survived by her daughter Maryellen Heckman (Charles); three grandchildren, Chaz (Cherylynn), David (Gina) and Rodney (Laura), seven great-grandchildren, Zachary, Jessica, Ryan, Alyssa, Brianna, Brady, and Will; nephews and nieces, John Eberhardt (Ellen), Charlene Wolf (Bill), Regina King (Ron), Ted Eberhardt (Birdie), Barbara Rubino (Anthony) and Kurt Leitschaft (Barbara) along with many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 819 Washington Avenue, Monaca with a luncheon to follow. Rev. Robert Strobel will officiate. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
