Mary Bartley Damron, age 86 of Coal Run, Kentucky passed away, Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at the Pikeville Medical Center. She was a retired secretary for the Pike County School Board System. She was a member of the Coal Run Church of Christ. Mary was born at Ashcamp, Kentucky in Pike County on August 29, 1927 the daughter of the late Jesse Teamus Bartley and Georgia Wallace Bartley. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Elbert Wright 'E.W.' Damron on October 27, 2009. She was also preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers. She is survived by one daughter, Sheila Bliffen and her husband, Jerry of Coal Run, one brother, James T. Bartley of Monroe, Ohio and one sister, May Crum of Stow, Ohio. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Bethany Lockard and her husband, Shane and Sarah Moon and her husband, Matt and five great-grandchildren, Alyson Hope Lockard, Luke David Lockard, Elijah Wright 'E.W.' Lockard, James Bryson 'Jay' Moon and Jonah Matthew Moon. Serving as Pallbearers will be the Men of The Coal Run Church of Christ. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be the Elders and Deacons of the Coal Run Church of Christ and Dr. Larry Coleman, and Bobby Lowe. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made in her memory to the Coal Run Church of Christ, 149 Church Street, Pikeville, Ky. 41501. Visitation will be in after 5:00 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2014 with evening services at 8:30 p.m. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the Coal Run Church of Christ with Jerry Bliffen, Shane Lockard and Aaron Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnson Memorial Park at Pikeville, Kentucky.
