William Jr. married Ella Ware 3 Jan 1869 and had two children: Effie born 1869, listed on 1870 census; not listed on 1880 census (may have died in childhood, however, no death or burial record has been found) and Maggie Alice (Neff) Sweasy born 1871 Illinois; died 1922 Iowa. Ella (Ware) Neff was listed on the 1880 census with William Jr. and Maggie but may have died prior to William Jr.'s second marriage, however, no death or burial record has been found.
William Jr. then married Mary Matilda "Mollie" Bennett 26 November 1885 and had ten children: Frederick Frank Neff, Arthur Neff, Blanche Effa (Neff) Chambers Taylor, John Vern Neff, Mamie Ella (Neff) Restelle Woody, Ruby Garnet (Neff) Oster, Alta James Neff and three more children per the 1900 US census record (cannot locate names or graves) who died in childhood. Mollie Bennett died in 1924 in Bird City, Cheyenne County, Kansas.
William Jr. married a third time to Alice (Shupe) Boyd in Cass County, Illinois.

William Jr. was born prior to his parent's marriage in 1852. He was born in Missouri where Sarah's father, Baxter, was living at the time. In 1850, he may have been living under the name William H. Crables, possibly a pseudonym, with Sarah's mother, Nancy (Luttrell) Baker Mace. In Sarah's will, she specifically stated that William should get an equal share of her estate, possibly due to illegitimacy laws. William Jr. IS the brother of Thomas Albert, Mathias Alonzo, Rhineldo Scott, Stephen Curtis and Franklin William Neff.
