Marshall Barnes Oct. 7, 1915 Dec. 11, 2005 Visitation for Marshall Barnes will be held at Basham Funeral Care (3312 Niles Street) on Monday, December 19, 2005 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. with the Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Tuesday morning, December 20, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Marshall was born October 7, 1915 in Humboldt, Arizona and he passed away December 11, 2005 in Bakersfield, California. Marshall is preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Sara Barnes; brothers, Hiram and William Barnes; sister, Lillian Jarmillo and son, Ronald Barnes. He is survived by his loving wife, Virlia Barnes; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Dan Richards; grandchildren, Ed Richards, Ron and Christine Richards, Brian and Nicole Richards, Zane and Corey Richards and Noah Richards; great-grandchildren, Miriah Richards, Bree Richards, Austin Bedford, Havana Bedford, Wyatt Richards and Rhyan Richards as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Working as a manager for Mission Linen Supply, Marshall met the loved of his life, Virlia. His enjoyment was found in tournament bowling where he won many awards. His time was spent between family, craft woodcutting and mystery novels. Two lessons of life he shared with family was to have a sense of humor and use your common sense. Marshall always said children are the true miracles of life. A special thank you to Dr. Ishimori and Dr. Nalos for caring for Dads heart for the past 27 years. Thank you to Dr. Alan Cartmell for his kind and caring spirit and the special bond he shared with Dad. Also, thanks to Dr. Desai and the entire staff at CBCC.
