Murphy was born on July 4, 2008 and passed away unexpectedly on March 9, 2014. Murphy was an amazing member of our family and brought us so much joy! He was such a loving and gentle dog, always wanting to please us. Murphy always greeted us with a toy in his mouth when we would walk through the door. He was extremely playful and loved going on long walks/runs. His favorite treats were ice cubes, and he would run to the refrigerator whenever he heard the icemaker. He mastered handshaking and a "double high five" at a very early age. Murphy loved to cuddle and at 80 pounds still thought he was a lap dog. He was very spoiled -- much more so than our former goldens. Maybe we spoiled Murphy because he was prone to seizures...maybe because he filled a void in our lives when our oldest son left for college...but probably we spoiled Murphy because he was just so lovable and so easy to spoil. Every person who ever came to our home and met Murphy loved him instantly, and we are very comforted with the outpouring of love from our friends and family who share in our loss and miss Murphy, too. With great love comes great heartache. We will forever love you, Murphy -- you were simply the best! Arrangements by McComb Pet Services, 2307 West Main Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
