Buddy passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2014. He was 86.

Born in Claremore on January 20, 1928 delivered by Dr. Malloy, Buddy was one of twelve children gifted to Leon and Nancy (Miller) Robertson.

Buddy was raised and educated in Claremore where he graduated from Claremore High School in 1948.

A life-time resident of Claremore, Buddy served in the United States Navy for six years before he returned to Claremore.

On October 27, 1956 Buddy married Blanche McGraw at the Christ the King Catholic Church. After their wedding the two spent the evening dancing to the Bob Wills' music they both loved. Their union was blessed with four children.

A wonderful husband and father, family was always important to Buddy. He supported his wife and all of his children in whatever they did.

Buddy coached baseball for his boys and after his retirement, continued to support his children, even helping his son Buddy, Jr. in his business.

Buddy enjoyed traveling and taking his family on vacations to Six Flags and Arizona. Later, he and Blanche treasured their private get-aways to Branson where they enjoyed the shows and sight-seeing.

As a family man, holidays were a time of gathering for Buddy's family. Christmas Eve was an important time and the family would celebrate with a Santa gift exchange and making homemade doughnuts.

After working for American Airlines as a ticket agent for 40 years, Buddy retired and filled his time with a number of activities.

He enjoyed playing golf nearly every day at Heritage Hills, going to the horse races and playing dominoes and cards.

His beloved pug dogs, Pug and B.B., were also special in his life and anytime you saw Buddy driving you saw Pug perched on his shoulder enjoying the drive.

This loving husband, father and grandfather will be missed by all whose lives he touched.

Buddy is survived by his wife of 57 years, Blanche; children Buddy Robertson, Jr., Nelson Robertson and wife Lynn, Nancy Robertson and Becky Robertson; grandchildren Matt, Sam and Jane Robertson; sister Roberta Bennett and numerous nieces and nephews.

Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Raymond, Nelson, Edwin and Orren, sisters Juanita, Mary Ella, Sarah, Evelyn, Bertha and Betty Jean.
