Arthur G. Burnett, 85, formerly of East Syracuse, died Monday in New Jersey.
Mr. Burnett was born in East Syracuse. He lived in Albany until 1950 when he moved to Brazil where he was employed with the Brazilian Traction Light and Power Co. until 1960.
From 1960, until his retirement in 1970, he worked as a comptroller with the Brazilian Telephone Co. in Sao Paolo. After his retirement he moved to Lakewood, N.J.
Mr. Burnett was a graduate of Syracuse University. He was a trustee of Leisure Village East, Lakewood, and a member of Onondaga Lodge 802 F&AM.
His wife, Grace Guthmann Burnett, died in 1983.
Surviving are a daughter, Phyllis Heaberlin of Battle Creek, Mich.; a son, David S. of Morris Township, N.J.; and six grandchildren.
Masonic services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Delaney & Greabell Funeral Home. Burial will be in White Chapel Memory Gardens, DeWitt.
