SOUTH BEND - Ted Piechocki, 84, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2014 after a brief stay in Southfield Village. Ted was born October 5, 1929 in South Bend to the late Joseph and Harriet (Ewald) Piechocki. Ted is also preceded in death by a brother, Richard Piechocki.

On September 2, 1950, Ted married his loving wife of 63 years Nancy (Scheu) Piechocki. She survives along with their children, Tammy (Jim Bognar), Mark (Pam), and Dale (Pati) Piechocki; grandchildren, Brian (Summr) Piechocki, Lee Piechocki, Ross (Megan) Piechocki, Brandon (Shari) Laskowski, and Chad Laskowski; four great-grandchildren, Colin, Mallori, Grant and Chase; sister, Virginia Molenda; and brothers, Eugene Piechocki and Ernest (Gloria) Piechocki.

In 1992, Ted retired from the Eckrich Corporation after 30 years of service in Sales. He was a graduate of Washington High School and a member of the Football Alumni. Ted was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 058, and "The Big 6". Ted enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching Notre Dame Football, tailgating, working on jigsaw puzzles and was an avid pool player. Most of all, Ted loved spending time with his family, friends and neighbors including cookouts and fish fries.

Visitation for Ted will be 3-7 pm Sunday, April 6, 2014 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. where a Rosary will be prayed at 3:30pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Monday, April 7, 2014 in Holy Family Catholic Church with visitation 1 hour prior to Mass at church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice Care, 111 Sunnybrook Ct, South Bend, IN 46637 or Holy Family Catholic Church, 56405 Mayflower Rd, South Bend, IN, 46619.
