Patricia T. Button died December 19, 2005.
She was born July 14, 1928 to Arthur L. Thomas Jr. and Erma Brown. Her grandfather, Arthur L. Thomas, was the last Territorial Governor of Utah.
She married Russell Wayne Owens Jr. (deceased). She later married F. Robert Button (deceased).
She graduated from East High School and received her BA in Art History from the University of Utah. She was a past president of the Assistance League of Salt Lake and the Ballet West Guild, also serving as a board member of the Opera Guild.
She served for three years on the U of U College of Fine Arts Alumni Council and was involved in many volunteer projects. She was also a member of PEO.
She loved to go to Wendover and to travel.
She is survived by children: Katie Godfrey (Brent), Meg Anderson (Bob), Robert Owens (Chris); her step-children Robert Button Jr., Colleen Crotty (Bruce); brother Robert Thomas; 15 grandchildren: Tina, Heidi, Ian, Danielle, Daniel, Ashley, Christopher, Carly, Russell, Casey, Cory, Wendy, Jessica, David, Jason; three great-grandchildren and her four cats.
Preceded in death by parents; children Wendy Romney and Michael Owens; siblings Arthur, Margaret and Mary.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 22, 2005, 11:00 a.m., at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 E. 1300 S., where friends and family may visit one hour prior to the service.
Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
