Douglas Nims of Warren passed away at the age of 73 years 8 months 5 days Friday evening April 4, 2014 at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital, Warren. He was born July 31, 1940, in Speaker Township, Sanilac County, Michigan, the son of the late Leroy and Mern (Digby) Nims.

His marriage was to Sharon Elliott in Warren. Sharon passed away January 7, 2009.

Douglas served his country with the United States Army for four years and 20 years for the Army Reserves.

He was employed by the Utica School District and enjoyed woodworking, camping and spending time with his grandchildren.

…several nieces, nephews;
…and friends.

His sister Cathy Nims preceded him in death.

The family honors the memory of Douglas and invite you to attend memorial services at 12:00 noon Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond, with 10:00 a.m. visiting. Brother Bob Keyworth, of New Life Gospel Church, Marlette, will officiate.
