ALEX TUPER, 68, DIES HERE FRIDAY AFTER FEW MONTHS ILLNESS
Alex Tuper, 68, of Fort Covington, died at two o'clock Friday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Levi Dupra of Fort Covington, with whom he made his home since last August. He suffered a heart attack in September. Before coming to the home of Mrs. Dupra, he spent a month at his farm in Brushton with another daughter, Mrs. Beatrice Holcomb.

Mr. Tuper was born in Fort Covington, a son of George and Eleanor LaBell Tuper. He was a farmer by occupation and had resided all of his life in Fort Covington except for the past seven years in Rochester where he was employed as night watchman at Brighton school.

His wife was the, former Miss Harriet Turner, She died about 29 years ago.

Surviving are 11 children: Mrs. Francis {Eva) Jock of Amsterdam; Mrs. Stan (Marion) Slayton of Vermont; Mrs. Charles (Evelyn) Dassori of Middletown, N. Y.; Mrs. Beatrice Holcomb of Brushton; Mrs. Levi (Mildred) Dupra, Fort Covington; Mrs, Russell (Anna) Jock of Rochester; Mrs. David (Irene) Jock of Williamson, N. Y.; Vernon Tuper of Syracuse; Howard of Fort Covington; Lester of Rochester and Earl of Fort Covington. He also leaves a brother, Treffly Tuper of Williamson; 29 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

His body was in repose at Cosgrove's Funeral Home here until Monday morning when last rites were conducted at St. Mary's church here. The pastor, the Rev. E. H. Dumas, officiated and interment was made In Brushton. Pall-bearers were Elwin Jock, Leon Tuper, Bertram Tuper, Ernest Tuper, Harry Jock and Fred Perry.

Among those who attended the rites are: Mr. and Mrs. Slayton and children; Mr, and Mrs. Chas. Dassori; Mr. and Mrs. Russell Jock; Mr. and Mrs. David Jock; Vernon Tuper; Mr. and Mrs. Lester Tuper; Treffly Tuper and family; Mrs. Norman Robinson of Malone; Fred Tuper of Texas; Delbert Tuper of Connecticut, and Clifford Tuper of Williamson. One daughter, Mrs. Francis Jock of Amsterdam is convalescing from a gall bladder operation and was unable to come.
