KILLED BY A FALLING LIMB
SAMUEL PERRY INSTANTLY KILLED NEAR THOMASTOWN
Last Saturday morning Samuel Perry, who resided at Thomastown, Finley township, this county, was killed near that place while felling a tree.
Percy and Elias Bennett went to the woods Saturday morning to cut some fire-wood. They attempted to fell a dead tree and it lodged and in order to dislodge it they cut a few feet off the but(sic) of the tree which caused it to fall.
The jar broke the tree into several pieces and one of the pieces struck Perry crushing his skull and causing instant death.
Perry was 52 years of age. He leaves a wife and six children.
