Walkersville – The Rev. ALBERT SNYDER, 68, pastor of Walkersville EUB Church, died Thursday at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Born in Washington County, Rev. Snyder was a son of the late Samuel S. and Katie (Stitzel) Snyder.

A veteran of World War I, 1917-1919, serving overseas, he was employed at the Hagerstown Post Office for 35 years, including 12 years as superintendent of mails. Re. Snyder served as pastor of Big Pool, Wolfsville, Garfield and Pleasant Valley EUB Churches during a 12-year period prior to coming here. He was a ministerial son of Grace EUB Church, Hagerstown, a member of the Frederick and Washington County EUB ministerums and for a number of years was a member of the conference minister's choir. In addition, he was a member of Glade Valley Lions Club and Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Pauline (Kiracofe) Snyder; one son, James M., Bethesda; two daughters, Mrs. Myra Ruth Clipp, Hagerstown, and Miss Mildred A. Snyder, at home; two brothers, Elmer E., Hagerstown, and George, Downsville; sister, Miss Myrtle Snyder, Sykesville; and 6 grandchildren.

Barton Funeral Home, Walkersville, was in charge of arrangements.
