Ruth Melissa Cooper, 82, Chillicothe, Mo., died June 30, 1993, at a hospital in Chillicothe. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Norman-Wagy-Singer-Gordon Chapel, Chillicothe; burial in Resthaven Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Chillicothe. Mrs. Cooper was born in Livingston County, Mo., and lived in Chillicothe most of her life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Chillicothe. Survivors include three daughters, Hazel I. Henderson, Bosworth, Mo., Priscill a Moss, Chillicothe, and Ramona McDonald, Mobile, Ala.; a son, Hugh S. Bethards, Pleasant Hill in Cass County; two stepsons, John Cooper, Washington, D.C., and Charlie Cooper Jr., St. Charles, Mo.; three stepdaughters, Margaret McNeal and Helen Hedrick o f Brookfield and Charlene Babb, Iowa; 21 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; stepgrandchildren; and stepgreat-grandchildren.
