Samuel W. Bubel, 59, resident of the Thumb district 25 years, died Sunday in the home of his son, Ray Bubel, 1711 Twenty-fourth street, after a long illness.

He was born Feb. 3, 1885, in Macomb county. In 1905 he married Clara Pohley, Avoca, who died in 1931.

He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Margaret McCallum, Jeddo; Mrs. Helen Fishel, Sparlingville, Mrs. Milford Furness, North Street, Miss June Bubel, Jeddo; seven sons, Roy Bubel, Asiatic war theater; Harry Bubel, La Verne Bubel, Lyle Bubel and Ray Bubel, all of Port Huron; Harlan Bubel, Great Lakes sailor, and Dean Bubel, Sparlingville; one sister, Mrs. George Dafoe, Sandusky; two brothers, Gust Bubel, Port Huron, and Charlie Bubel, Sandusky, and 25 grandchildren.

The remains will be in the Bubel home, Twenty-fourth street, until Wednesday when a prayer be read in the home. Funeral services will be held in Fargo Methodist church at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Albert S. Coleman, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery, Fargo.
