Clarence Johnson of rural Edgerton passed away on Dec. 1st, 2005. He was born on Oct. 29th, 1912 to George and Anna (Olson) Johnson in Token Creek. He married Adeline (Halverson) Weum on July 24th, 1935. He lived the past 56 years in the farmhouse he shared with his wife. Following her demise he lived alone in his home but never far from his devoted family. He enjoyed farming and his horses. For many years he and his son steamed tobacco beds for neighboring farmers. He also enjoyed working as a mechanic both on and off the farm. Clarence is survived by his children - Clarence (Delores) Johnson, Roger (Judy) Johnson, Paul (Gladys) Johnson, Marion Weum (Otto) Rusch, Delores Weum (Donald) Nelson, Arleen (Richard) Lehr, Florence (Paul) Hefty, Carol (Steve) French, Julie Haines, Mary Jo Johnson (Don) Harried, sisters in law Dorothy Johnson, Myrnell Halverson; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Adeline, daughter Virginia Dees, grandson Bruce Johnson, his brothers Melvin, Oscar and Arthur; and his sisters Grace Halverson and Mabel Starks.
