Born November 17, 1920, in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Herman F. and Bertha (Ravan) Garmon, and the widow of William D. "Lefty" Guy.
Mrs. Guy retired from the Bailey Plant at Mayfair Mills after 34 years of service; and was a longtime member of Northside Baptist Church of Una, SC.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Beth Marie and Lee Thompson of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Larry D. and Frances Guy of Spartanburg; a sister, Peggy J. Garmon of Spartanburg; three grandchildren, Donna Lindsay, Lisa Everts and her husband, Bob, and Chad Ingle and his wife, Allison, all of Spartanburg; four great-grandchildren, Christopher Lindsay, Kayla Everts, Randee Everts, and Anna Grace Ingle; and many loved nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Roy Garmon and two sisters, Geraldine Parham and Betty Lamb.
Visitation was 3:00 to 3:45 p.m. Monday, January 2, 2006 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.
Funeral services followed at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel, conducted by Rev. Weldon Burnett, Jr. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park.
