Anton Schmirler Dies at Age 64
Anton J. Schmirler, 64, 14th Ave., died suddenly of heart attack Friday evening in a Milwaukee hospital.
He had been a conductor for the Milwaukee Road, with 40 years of service.
Mr. Schmirler was born in Appleton April 18, 1893. the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wenzel Schmirler. He married the former Myrtle Calkins on Nov. 1, 1916, at Hilbert.
He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, the Grace Lutheran Church and Theodore Roosevelt Lodge No. 322 of Green Bay.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Lester Suttner, Hilbert; one sister, Mrs. Earl VandeBogart, Appleton; one brother, Joseph, Appleton; and three grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Lyndahl Funeral Home after 2 p. m. Sunday. The Theodore Roosevelt Lodge will offer memorial services Sunday evening at 7:30 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev Dean Kilgust officiating. Burial will be in the Breed Cemetery. Chilton.
