Long time Officer In Circuit Court, and former Genoa Police Officer, Who died Wednesday , Aged 76 years. Steve Abraham, an esteemed resident of Genoa, and almost as well known in Sycamore, where he had acted as bailiff in circuit court continuously under all judges for a period of some 46 years, passed from this life at his home on Sycamore street in Genoa on Wednesday evening, Oct. 15, at 6 o'clock . Steve had been in declining health for the last year or two , but had been able to perform his duties in court up to the last few weeks, and was outdoors only a few days before his death. He was 76 years of age. He was formerly police officer at Genoa and was constable for many years. He was a good citizen and had many friends. Mr. Abraham is survived by the wife and four sons: Fred of Alton, IL, Lenn of Morrison, IL, and William and Thomas of Genoa. A large number of friends from Sycamore will attend the funeral services which will be held this Saturday afternoon from the residence and at 1:30 o'clock from the Methodist church. The interment will be in Genoa cemetery.
