Julie Martin Simpkins, 46, and her daughter, Ginger Ann Simpkins, 14, of Snowville, passed away Friday, April 25, 2014. They were members of Snowville Baptist Church. Julie was a medical assistant and active in many charities and Ginger was a student at Dublin Middle School and active in 4-H. They were preceded in death by Julie's parents, William Gilford and Martha Carroll Martin.

They are survived by their loving husband and father, Tim Simpkins; daughter and sister, Grace Simpkins; son and brother, Elijah Simpkins; Ginger's special friend, Kyle Mullins; mother-in-law and grandmother, Carol Ratcliff; Julie's sisters, Jackie Haley and Pam Epperly; Ginger's uncle and aunt, Dwayne and Angi Simpkins; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Snowville Baptist Church with Rev. Neil Wood officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the family of Tim Simpkins, for his children, 3332 Simpkinstown Road, Hiwassee, Virginia 24347 or to Snowville Baptist Church, 3238 Gum Long Road, Hiwassee, VA 24347.
