Roylene's parents were LeRoy I. Alexander and Ruby Johnson Copps. However, Robert Gerald Copps' obituary lists Roylene as his daughter. I believe he was likely her step-father, and he clearly loved her very much.

Roylene passed away between her junior and senior years at Ben Lomond High School in Ogden, Utah. She was a lovely, bright-eyed girl with a beautiful smile.
