My G.G.Grandfather:
David Leach was born July 24, 1804,his parents were David and Hannah Leach, He married Manerva Rogers about 1830 and had nine children, Five daughters and four sons, his daughters were Mary, Manerva, Martha, Julia and Amanda his sons were John C. David, Eliakem (which was a twin to Martha) and William who was my Great Grandfather. His wife Manerva died in 1849. He later married Catherine Hunter Proffitt and lived with her until his death in 1858. David is buried in the Hunter Cemetery in an unmarked grave because a lot of the Crypt type grave stones were taken from the cemetery and were used for the foundation of a house built in the 1890's known as the Dr. Blue John Ausmus house, it's located about 200 yards from the cemetery.
