PASSED AWAY MONDAY AT AUBURN, WASH-FUNERAL TO BE HELD HERE
George Brooks died in Auburn, Washington, Monday February 29th.
He leaves a mother, Mrs. S. J. Devon of Oakland; four sisters, Mrs. Richard Squires and Mrs. Myrtle Hudson of Lodi, Mrs. J.B. Layman of Reno and Miss Laura Brooks of Detroit, Michigan, and four brothers, John C. Brooks of Los Angeles, Walter H. Brooks of Oakland, William H. and Frank Brooks of Lodi, and a half-sister, Nettie Devon, of Oakland.
The deceased was very well known here by all the pioneer settlers as he lived here during his boyhood and attended school with many of the now prominent citizens of Lodi.
