The funeral will be Monday for former Eugene resident Wilma Hope Ireland of Woodland, Calif., who died of a heart attack Sunday. She was 84.
Ireland was born Aug. 27, 1908, in Osceola, Neb. In 1931, she married Leonard Ireland on Jan. 21, 1931. He died in 1968.
She lived in Eugene from 1944 to 1974. She drove a motor route for The Register-Guard for several years and also worked as a waitress for about 20 years until her retirement.
Survivors include two sons, Wallace of Woodland and Gerald of Salem; two sisters, Ruby Iverson of Fairfield, Calif., and Georgia Slaughter of Portland; and five grandchildren.
Monday's funeral will be at 1 p.m. at Springfield Memorial Gardens and Celestial Funeral Home, with burial at Springfield Memorial Gardens. McNary's Chapel, Woodland, Calif., is in charge of arrangements.
