He was born on August 18, 1931 in Nebo, KY to the late Vollie V. Beal and Susie Bruce Beal. Charles was a United States Marine Corps Veteran. He retired after thirty-four years with CSX Railroad and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Madisonville. He was a member of the Madisonville Masonic Lodge 143 and was a 33rd degree Mason of the Scottish Rite and he was a Red Cross Constantine. Charles was an accomplished woodworker and was known for his beautifully turned bowls, pens and vases.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert V. Beal and his half-brother, Dink Bruce.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 13, 2019 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Frankie Dorris and Bro. Terry Rhye officiating. Burial to follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville
