Johnnie "Buck" McCormick, Jr., 82

Johnnie "Buck" McCormick, Jr., 82, a McMinnville , TN. resident and Warren County native died May 1 at River Park Hospital following an illness of six months.

He was a self-employed cattle farmer, U. S. Army Veteran, life member of Disabled Veterans And V. F. W. and member of the North Hills Dr. Church of God of Prophecy. He was the son of Melvina Delaney McCormick of Rock Island and the late Johnnie McCormick, Sr.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by sister, Helen Cooper; two brothers, Alvin and Malcolm McCormick and daughter in law, Rachel Jeannette McCormick.

He was married Fed. 14, 1991 to Betty Joyce Gribble McCormick who survives. In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by four sons, Billy McCormick, Johnny (Patsy) McCormick, Timothy (Tammy) McCormick all of McMinnville and Garrett McCormick of Viola; daughter, Angela (Robert) Troncin of Missouri; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; seven brothers, Harry McCormick and Billy McCormick of Indianapolis, Ind., Franklin McCormick, Norman McCormick, Jimmy McCormick and Eddie McCormick of Campaign; three sisters, Louise Roberts of Indianapolis, Ind., Shirley Elmore of South Carolina and Carolyn Rodocor of Arizona.

Funeral service was held Saturday in High's Chapel with Michael Harris officiating. Interment followed in Mt. View Cemetery on High 30. Military grave rites were conducted by V. F. W. Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.

High Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
