He was born in Altoona, April 18, 1896, a son of the late Timonthy and Annie Scannel (Dillon). For a time he was employed in the Juniata machine shops until his health began failing in 1928 when he went to Colorado Springs. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Kelly Scannell and five children, Dorothy, Betty, Jean, Joan and Timothy. His mother, Mrs. Dillon; a brother, Thomas; a sister, Mrs. Annie Plummer and a half brother, Charles Dillon, Juniata, also survive.
He was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic church. The body will arrive in Altoona at 11:30 o'clock Sunday night and may be viewed at the home of his mother, Mrs. Dillon, 522 Tenth avenue, Junitata. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery. Other funeral arrangements will be announced later
