Frederick Eugene Krenn was born on September 4, 1927 in Fond du Lac, the son of Joseph J. and Cecelia S. (Weller) Krenn. He was educated in many schools in and around the Fond du Lac area.

He was in the US Navy between February 1945 and January 1948. After completing business education, he became the bookkeeper for D.H. Nast Plumbing and Heating. Fred and Mildred (Hobbs) Krenn were married on January 20th, 1951, at the United Methodist Church of Fond du Lac. He became a Carpenter Journeyman in November 1956 after graduating from the four year Carpenter Apprentice School program in Local Union 1741 in Milwaukee. He then established his own construction business called "Quality Builders" from 1956-59.

From 1952 to 1963, he served in the Army Reserve Company G-339 Inf. Reg. 84th Div. as a Corporal to Sgt-E8. Fred and a fellow business man decided to form "Fox and Krenn Construction, Inc." from 1959 until 1965. This included building new homes, remodeling, commercial buildings and installing swimming pools. Fred created many of the architectural plan designs used in building the many new homes and structures in Fond du Lac. While not working, he greatly enjoyed bowling, camping, fishing, hunting, horsemanship, wood carving and drawing. In 1965, the family purchased a hobby farm near Van Dyne to have and raise dairy animals, horses and poultry. In 1968, the family moved near Pittsville to enjoy living on a farm near lumber mill forests. This allowed connecting with many family members to enjoy the annual deer hunting adventures. Fred worked in construction within central Wisconsin, eventually serving as a president of local union 2129 United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. Construction work included the building of the Marshfield Clinic and St Josephs Hospital.

Given his special artistic talents, Fred and Millie decided to semi-retire in 1988 selling arts and crafts around the US and Canada. The traveling allowed awesome sightseeing, selling their crafts and making many fond memories with new friends along the way. He spent lots of time with his grandchildren with hunting, fishing and artistic work. Final retirement was decided 1992, selling their farm and moving to a farm home near Chili that they helped renovate with their daughter Joey and son-in-law Ray Draeger. Doing so, they became next door neighbors to Joey and Ray's family. As Fred's health began to fail due to Alzheimer's, they become household members with Joey and Ray, their wonderful primary care givers.
