FORMER RESIDENT DIES
Mrs. Oloise McNew, a former La Plata resident, died in Independence, Missouri, Apr. 8.
Mrs. McNew was know here as Mrs. Elzie Snow when she lived in La Plata for two years around 1938.
The daughter of Chauncy and Emma (Bentley) Aucutt, she was born Dec. 31, 1918 in Knox County. On Mar. 17, 1954 she was united in marriage to Wm. E. McNew in Buckner, Missouri.
Surviving are her husband and two sisters, Louise (Mrs. James Karaff) of Auxvasse, Missouri, and Rosemary (mrs. B.L. Hendricks) of Dallas City, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Guy.
She was a member of the Royal Neighbor's Lodge.
Funeral services were held in Independence. Burial was in the La Plata Cemetery.
