Mrs. Elsie Miller Dies In Kingwood Hospital. Preston County Journal. Kingwood, Wv. Thur., June 15, 1939.
Excerpt -- Elsie Clara Miller, nee Wright, born at Thomas on March 1, 1891, died in Kingwood City Hospital on June 11th age 48 years 3 months and 10 days. She was the daughter of the late Amos Wright and Alice Wright of Howesville. Besides her mother she leaves to mourn her departure four sons, one daughter and five grandchildren. The children are Barton Wiles, Wald, Blair and Glen Miller of Howesville, and Mrs. James Buchannon of Fairmont. Also surviving are three brothers and four sisters. They are Arlie of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; Carl of Howesville, Ward of Kingwood, Mrs. B. F. Weaver of Tunnelton, Mrs. Jay Phillips and Mrs. Late McGinnis of Morgantown, and Mrs. Fredia Gainor of Thornton. Services were held in the Howesville Methodist Church Tuesday afternoon by the Rev. Orin D. Curtis, and burial was made in Camp Ground Cemetery.
