Mrs. Bernadine M. Coborn, 2339 41st St., Rock Island, died at 6 this morning at home, following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at Bethesda Assembly of God, Moline, with the Rev. Charles D. Young, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island. Friends ay call the Hodgson Funeral home from 7 to 9 tomorrow night, and from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday. The body will be removed to the church at noon Saturday.
Mrs. Coborn was born in Manlius, Ill., a daughter of Fred and Meta Pierson. She was married to Keith H. Coborn June 25, 1949, in Rock Island. She had been a resident of Rock Island for the past 15 years and had been employed at Deere & Co. and the Rock Island Arsenal.
Mrs. Coborn was a member of Bethesda Assembly of God and was active in the Association for Retarded Children and Adults of Rock Island County. She also was a member of the "Y" Wives of Rock Island and the Rock Island Fire Fighters Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include the widower; one son, Richard, at home; a sister, Mrs. Frank Burke of Peoria, and her mother, Mrs. Meta Pierson, Princeton, Ill. She was preceded in death by her father and one brother in infancy.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Association for Retarded Children.
