Judith Anne Lindquist died on May 12, 2014 at Unity Point Medical Center. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 15 at Iles Dunn's Chapel. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 16 at Dunn's Chapel followed by graveside services 3 p.m. Friday at Gowrie Township Cemetery, Gowrie, IA.

Judith was born on June 20, 1944 in New York City to Maurice W. and Anita (Williams) Lindquist and grew up in the west part of Des Moines. She graduated from Roosevelt High School, Stephens College at Columbia, MO, the University of Denver, and received a Masters Degree from Drake University. She specialized in education, mathematics, and business. Judith dedicated her life to teaching socially disadvantaged elementary students at Des Moines Public Schools, hoping to make a difference.

Judith was a lifelong member of Plymouth Congregational Church. She was a member of the PEO, Drake Alumni, Des Moines Golf and Country Club, Theatrical Groups and several bridge groups. She enjoyed golf, bridge, plays and world traveling.

Judith was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Anita Lindquist. Those left to cherish her memory are her fiancé, Ron Kaldenberg; her brother, Nels A. Lindquist and his wife, Cindy of Troutman, NC.
