Francis Marion Mershon, 77 years old, died at his residence 401 North First Street, at 11:55 o'clock Thursday night. He is survived by the wife, Mary; three sons, William, Francis Jr. and Edward, all of Terre Haute; four daughters, Mrs. George Carroll, Mrs. Walter Hammond, Mrs. Donald Cooper and Mrs. Charles Harris, all of Terre Haute; 22 grandchildren and one great grandchild. The body was taken to the Gillis Memory Chapel, from where funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
