Ruth P. Raasch, age 86 of Lansing, IL, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2004. She is survived by two sisters-in-law: Denelda Reitz of Hammond, IN and Evelyn Reitz of Lansing, IL; one brother-in-law: Ed (Doris) Raasch of Munster, IN; nieces and nephews: Norma Reitz of Highland, IN, Marla (George) Sprainis of Highland, IN, Gayle Hope of Naples, FL, Gloria (Tom) Thirion of Griffith, IN, Patricia Hamilton of Crown Point, IN and Larry Raasch of Lansing, IL; other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Ferdy Raasch on July 13, 2003; parents, John and Pauline Reitz and three brothers: Alvin, Herbert and John Reitz. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 31, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. from Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 7227 Hohman Ave., Hammond, IN with Pastor Karl Davies officiating. Burial, Concordia Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Friday from 4-8 p.m. at LaHayne Funeral Home, 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, IN and Saturday morning at the church from 10 a.m. until time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 7227 Hohman Ave., Hammond, IN 46324.
