William C. Brownawell
William C. Brownawell, 82, of RD1 Shermans Dale, died Wednesday at the Carlisle Hospital.
Mr. Brownawell was born April 20, 1893 in Carroll Township Perry County. He was a retired employe (sic) of the Frog, Switch and Manufacturing Company and was a member of the Shermans Dale Fire Company. The Brownawells observed their 62d wedding anniversary on Monday.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Minnie Sheriff Brownawell; three daughters, Mrs. Milton (Mary) Adams, Shermans Dale; Mrs. Marlin (Mildred) Nace, 148 N. Spring Garden St.; and Mrs. Lee (Betty) Rhoades, RD1 Gardners; seven sons, John, Earl, David, Robert, George, Jess, all of Shermans Dale and Samuel, Carlisle; 28 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Young's United Methodist Church with the Rev. Clarence L. Earnst officiating. Burial will be in the Young's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hoffman Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover St., on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the church Saturday from 1 until the service.
