Alda emigrated from Torano, Italy, to the United States at less than one year of age and resided in Placer County for the last 84 years. She graduated from Roseville HS in 1940. On January 24, 1945 she married James Bell, and they celebrated 52 years together. Alda was a creative cosmetologist and the innovator of unique hair designs. She was also very talented with arts and crafts. In their retirement years, Alda and Jim spent a number of their summer months in Brookings, OR. She was survived by her children Gail, James Jr., and Richard. Predeceased by her husband and their son David Lawrence.
