Ray was a member of the Redbank Valley Trails Association and was also a director serving on the board. Ray was also very involved in building wooden bridges along the rail-banked corridor. He fabricated and helped design and improve the many bridges that span the Red Bank Creek and small tributaries along that area. Ray was an avid sportsman, a skilled craftsman and mechanic.
Ray died after a sudden battle with cancer.
