ARWICK --- Clarence Ricci, 74, of Hardig Road, an employee of the Monet Jewelery Co. for 10 years before retiring in 1978, died Tuesday at Kent County Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Ida (Martino) Ricci.

Born in Johnston, a son of the late Antonio and Lucia (Folco) Ricci, he lived in Providence before moving to Warwick in 1978.

Mr. Ricci previously worked as a pinsetter for 25 years for the R.C. Berker Co., Johnston. He was a tenor and sang from his late teens until 1986 in churches including St. Rocco's Church, Johnston, Edgewood Congregational Church, Cranston, and the First Universalist Church, Providence. He also had a quartet during the late 1930s, and sang on WJAR radio in the early 1950s. He was an Army Air Forces veteran in World War II and stationed in Alaska.

Besides his wife he leaves a son, Anthony C Ricci; a daughter, Ida May McCarthy, both of Warwick; two sisters, Jane Almonte of Cranston, Gilda Charpentier of Johnston, and four grandchildren.

The funeral will be held tomorrow at 9 a.m. from the Thomas and Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Gregory the Great Church, Cowesett Road. Burial with military honors will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
