Sergeant Haskell was a ham radio operator in WWII. He spent over two years in a Japanese Prisoner of War camp and survived the Bataan Death March. Of 750 prisoners, he was one of only 76 to survive a Japanese Hell Ship.
The Pet Cemetery of Tucson was where he chose to be buried so that he could be buried next to his dogs.
