Bill G. Meek, resident of Ponca City, OK, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2014, at Shawn Manor Nursing Home. He was 80.

The funeral service will be held at 9:30 am, Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at the Trout Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Don Huddleston, officiating. Burial will then follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Ponca City, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.

Bill was born on October 30, 1933, to Jay Meek and Gladys (Driesel) Meek in Ponca City, OK. He was raised in Ponca City, OK and graduated from Ponca City High School. Married to Patricia (Sackett-Patterson) Meek on January 7, 2012, in Ponca City, OK. Bill and Pat were the first couple to meet, fall in love, and marry at the Shawn Manor Nursing Home. He worked as Meat Cutter for Safeway.

He was involved in the American Legion, he loved to dance and also loved to BBQ and catered different events in his traveling BBQ truck called Bill's BBQ! He served in the US Army from December 17, 1953, through December 16, 1955.

He is survived by his wife Pat A. Meek of Ponca City, OK; daughters, Vicki A. Perry of Carnation, WA; Deborah L. Panks of Bellevue, WA; Brenda K. Waldner, Olympia, WA; Elizabeth M. Hendrix of Haily, ID; step-daughters, Carol Ann Maples of Stillwater, OK; Randy Wilks of Ponca City, OK; step-sons Mark Patterson of Bellevue, NE; Ben Post of CO; Travis Post of IN. Brothers; Jim Meek and Lawrence Wray Meek of Ponca City, OK

Preceded in death by father, JD Meek; Mother, Gladys Meek; and brother, JD Meek.
